CONVERTING OLD PHONES TO NEW-STYLE WIRING

Advice on converting old telephones to "new-style" modular plug-in wiring. Further models will be added shortly.

314 Telephones

  • Connect red lead to T8
  • Connect white lead to T7
  • Connect blue lead to T11
  • Add 3k3 resistor between T2 & T7
  • Add lead between T12 and 11 on switch terminal
  • Add lead between T13 and 12 on switch terminal
  • Remove any other links from between terminals

700 series Telephones
  • Connect red lead to T8
  • Connect white lead to T17
  • Connect blue lead to T6
  • Remove link between T6 & T7
  • Add link between T17 & T18
  • Replace link between T4 & T5 with a 3k3 resistor
